It is hard to believe that the Oak Bay Collector Car Festival celebrated its 26th anniversary on Sunday, July 19. Started by local restaurant owner Ken Agate, the Festival has developed to become the premier collector car show in Victoria.
Open to any special interest vehicle, the show has always featured a wide variety of cars, trucks and motorcycles. Special mention must be made of the willingness of the Mayor and Council of the District of Oak Bay, as well as both local residents and businesses, for their willingness to support the event. The closure of much of Oak Bay Avenue allows the public easy access to this unique show.
Our thanks go to the organizers of the event, including the OECC South Island Branch’s own Chris Beresford. Months of planning and a large number of volunteers on the day itself resulted in an exceptional show. We look forward to the next one!
